Headbands and the Amusement Park

We've been learning how to keep the processors on Anya's head.  I modified a few headbands to hold the processors in place.  Here is a link to a few pictures of the head band and the processors on her head. You can see that they are pretty large and would fall right off her little ears. http://picasaweb.google.com/rachelodriscoll/AnyaBand#

On Saturday, August 21, we spent the day at Idlewild Park in Ligonier, PA.  Many of our friends from Point Park Children's School went too.  We had a great time.  Anya managed to keep her processors on all day thanks the to the modified headbands.  The head bands are not perfect...because we lost one...for a few minutes.  We found it dangling in a sewer/storm water grate.  It was dark and crowded.  Thankfully, we programmed the warning light to blink when there is a problem...such as the processor is hanging in a sewer/storm water grate!  I wish we had a picture of that!

  1. Wow! Way to go Rachel and Sean! Great little blog...and music! I have NEVER added music to my few blogs! I will have to try that this semester with my students! Thanks for the idea. And the Ordinary Miracle song just brings tears to my eyes. I share your story and I tell friends about how blessed Anya is to have parents like you. I don't know where you find your strength...except in your FAITH...and this story is certainly a story of FAITH that needs to be shared. Thanks for sharing and allowing us to be a small part of your prayer path. We love you all...and my goodness, can Rory, Maeve, and Anya stop growing so fast? They are soooo big! It's crazy! Looks like you have had an incredibly fun summer in between all the hospital visits. Way to balance it all! I continue to admire you all.
    Love and prayers,
divonna :) (a.k.a. Prof Apple - name for education blogs with students!)
